FIRST EXAMINATION ROUND

The prize competition begins with a qualifying exam that will be held online after the verification of registered candidates.

SECOND QUALIFICATION ROUND

Competitors who, according to the evaluation of the expert jury, pass the first round of the competition, will qualify for the second round of the competition (regional competitions), which will be held in March 2024 in the following cities: Zagreb (participants from Croatia), Belgrade (participants from Serbia and Montenegro) , Ljubljana (participants from Slovenia), Sarajevo (participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Skopje (participants from North Macedonia).

In the second qualifying round (regional competitions) the 20 first-placed candidates from the first test round of the competition in each city of the second round of the competition enter, namely 20 people with the highest number of points on the overall scale in each city of the competition (note: for Serbia and Montenegro of the competition are held in Belgrade), so that the first 20 candidates are taken from the order of registered candidates for each city, which represents a total of 100 candidates for the second qualification round.

THIRD ROUND

Competitors who, at each of the regional competitions held in the mentioned cities, collect the most points according to the evaluations of the expert jury, will qualify for the third final round of the competition. The third final round of the competition will be held in a facility (according to the Organizer’s choice) in Zagreb on April 8th until April 16th, 2024., and about the exact time and location, the Organizer will inform the participants in a timely manner via the website badelmasterclass.com and/or via notification from the e-mail address: contact@badelmasterclass.com. The number of participants and detailed rules will be determined by the Organizer later.

The organizer reserves the right to publish content, photos and videos of the competition for various purposes on its website, social networks and media channels.

The period of registration and verification of the user account is from January 24th to February 16th, 2024.

No, candidates participate in the second qualification round (regional competitions) according to their place of residence.

The specified dates are not fixed, the Organizer reserves the right to change the dates of the second and third rounds of the competition, in the period from 02.03. until 16.04.2024. It is stated in the Rulebook on the prize competition that participants should take care to ensure the necessary time during the first and second rounds of the competition. The organizer has the right to choose the next ranked candidate (according to the city of the regional competition) to compete in the second and third rounds of the competition in the event that the qualified candidate does not meet the competition conditions or is unable to enter the competition at the specified time and city.

Practical and theoretical knowledge of the properties of strong alcoholic beverages, wine and cocktails, and knowledge of bartending skills. In the first qualification round (online), accuracy and speed in solving the tasks will be evaluated, the time for solving the tasks will be limited. The best placed will be those participants who answered the largest number of questions correctly and the fastest in the given time.

In the second and third rounds of the competition, knowledge and skills will be assessed and evaluated in relation to knowledge, preparation, serving (hospitality), recognition and other practical and theoretical knowledge about the properties of strong alcoholic beverages, wine and cocktails, as well as skills and knowledge of bartending skills.

Participants who have qualified for the second round of the competition will be informed about the rules of the competition via e-mail and/or a message on their badelmasterclass.com user profile, and all amendments to the rules will be published in a timely manner on the badelmasterclass.com website.

No, minors are not allowed to participate.
